hey there!
Photography has been part of my life since I was a little girl. I would take images of my travels…the few blocks I was allowed to roam. Using my Kodak 126 film camera, I specialized in dog photography, back in the day. I documented all the neighborhood dogs in a spiral-bound album, with peel-back pages, that have now yellowed. My boundaries have expanded since then and so have my subjects. But I do keep a fondness for our 4-legged friends!
Having your pictures taken is a big leap of faith. I’ve filled my website with images that must have connected with you if you are taking the time to read this. I love meeting and working with my clients, getting to know them, and setting them at ease. While editing I will often laugh out loud at a silly moment, or exclaim, “YES!” when a certain image contains real emotion. For example, when Dad drops his standard smile-for-the-camera-fake-smile and relaxes into a natural smile! Authenticity is a term used frequently, but for good reason. Those true moments, a caress, a shared gaze, a laugh, show your story. A photography session allows me to capture your story in images, freeze time to when you’re an engaged couple so full of new love, a maternity session filled with expectation, newborn when your heart is overflowing with love for this wonderful human you’ve created, milestone pictures of that first year, family images for each year as they grow! There are so many other photography sessions that I enjoy: Seniors, Headshots, Branding, and Intimate Weddings.
Some have asked me if I prefer photographing one subject over another, and the truth is, I don't. What I do like, is emotion. Genuine moments, love, laughter, and everything in between. Those are found in every subject! So now you know me a bit. I'm a sentimental family girl who loves dogs and photography.
If I get the pleasure of meeting you, I'll treat you like family, and I hope you’ll feel the same after our session. I take pride in my work and guarantee a fun experience filled with natural, candid moments, full of emotion and connection, that you’ll cherish for years to come. And bring the dog!
I cannot wait to meet you.
